The ABCs of Salvation!
Knowing your sins are forgiven and that you are ready for heaven is as simple as following these steps:
A. Admit you have sinned. "If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us." (I John 1:8)
B. Believe in Jesus. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
C. Confess and forsake your sin. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us these sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness." I John 1:9
1. You need to be saved. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)
2. You cannot save yourself. "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no man can boast." (Ephesians 2:8,9).
3. God loves you enough to provide salvation. "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16). "But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
4. Pray, asking Christ to save you. "That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9).
You can be saved today!
Dear God, I admit I am a sinner in need of you. Please forgive me of my sins and give me abundant life here on earth and eternal life with You in heaven. I believe Jesus died and rose again for my sins. I confess Jesus as Lord and Savior of my life. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
When you become a child of God, there are a few very important things you need to do next.
First, you need to start reading the Bible everyday. Start with the Gospel of John.
Second, you need to start praying every day. Pray simply as you would talk to a friend.
Third, you need to start going to church regularly. Find one that teaches fundamental Bible doctrines.
Fourth, you need to tell someone your exciting news! Tell the pastor of the church you start attending.
